Using walking bass notes is a fun technique to use for writing songs or making song arrangements. I've posted a 6 minute video showing you how to use walking basses in a number of different major keys.

This technique was often used by musicians in the Baroque period, in pop songs, and songs like 'Carol of the Bells' from the early 1900's.
